How do I play?
Roll six dice and keep at least one that scores: ones, fives, three of a kind and straights. Then bank the turn to add it to your score, or roll the dice that are left. Roll nothing that scores and it's a Farkle: that turn's points are lost. Score with all six dice and you have hot dice: roll all six again. Reach the rival's score first to take the seat.
Where are the full rules?
In the game, tap ? on the long table, or choose How to play in Options. The rules sheet shows the scores for Tavern and Classic rules.
What's the difference between Tavern and Classic?
Tavern rules have no final round, a short straight scores, and who rolls first is chosen at random. Classic is the long game to 10,000, with three pairs and two triplets, and you roll first.
What's free, and what does the full table add?
Wren, Maud, both sets of rules and every option are free. The full table is one optional purchase that opens Hob, Quill and the Keeper. The price is shown in the game before you buy.
I bought the full table. How do I get it back on a new device?
After installing the game, tap Restore purchases on the home screen or in Options, while signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with. You'll see “The full table is restored.” once it's done.
Moving to a new iPhone, or reinstalling
If you're signed in to iCloud and iCloud is on for the game, your progress comes back by itself: your ladder, your achievement progress and any match in progress. Open the game and give iCloud a moment. The home screen updates when your progress arrives. To fetch it straight away, tap Restore purchases.
- The full table: tap Restore purchases on the home screen or in Options. This also brings your progress back from iCloud.
- Game Center achievements: these stay with your Game Center account.
- Settings and your chosen photo: these stay on the old iPhone, so set them again in Options.
If iCloud is off, your progress is saved only on the iPhone you play on, and deleting the game, or moving to a new iPhone, starts the ladder again from Wren.
Is there an iPad version?
No. Farkle: The Long Table is made for iPhone only.
The unlock isn't showing, or the price is missing.
- Check your connection: the price and the purchase need a connection to the App Store. Until the price loads, the game says “Price unavailable. Check your connection and try again.”
- Check you're signed in: make sure you are signed in to the App Store on this iPhone.
- Check Screen Time: if Screen Time limits are on, in-app purchases may be blocked.
- If you've already bought it: tap Restore purchases in Options. If the game says no purchase was found, check that you're using the Apple Account you bought it with. The full table can't be shared with family members.
Game Center won't sign in.
Open your iPhone's Settings, tap Game Center and sign in with your Apple Account, then reopen the game. You need a connection for achievements and the Best turn leaderboard. You can play every match without Game Center; your scores and achievements just aren't reported while you're signed out.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Every match plays without a connection. Only buying or restoring the full table, and Game Center, need one. If iCloud is on, your progress syncs the next time you're online.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo picker shares only the picture you choose, and it stays on this iPhone. You can switch back to a drawn portrait in Options at any time. See the privacy policy.
